Hayden 9 "Pet Professors"

So, I was staring at my dogs yesterday…

I know, I know, that sounds really weird and creepy, and I am sure my dogs thought the same at that moment. However, my thought process was relatively innocent.

See, my dogs get along so well, despite how vastly different they are. My oldest dog, Newman is 8 years old, a pure breed Brittany Spaniel, smart and somewhat reserved and cranky. I kind of think of him like an old man, but I love him all the same. My other dog, Cosmo is not even a year old yet, he is a foster dog, mixed, dopey, and extremely clingy, but once again I love him all the same.

Both my dogs have their quirks, and I love them both so much because I think about how their personalities somewhat reflect my own. It is really important for me to have them in my life because I have discovered so much about life and about myself that I never thought I would.

For example, like I said earlier, my dogs are so different, but they still get along and love each other. Newman adopted Cosmo into the family like a younger brother and while it took some adjusting, I think he enjoys having him around.

So the other day, when I was just blankly staring at my dogs with tears in my eyes, I found that despite differences people, just like dogs, can get along, and that just makes life so much more enjoyable.

I know this post was a little out there, but I have to ask, have you guys ever found yourself learning from an animal's behavior?
